Who We Are

St. John's* is a Christian community filled with people who live as and raise up disciples of Jesus Christ. We are conservative in doctrine and creative in our practices, treasuring diverse worship styles. We are a warm and open family and hope you'll come join us! (for an outline of our Mission and Values go to What We Believe)

We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God and it directs all of our teaching and practice. The Bible's main purpose is to show us Jesus and that only through Jesus may we have eternal life. (John 20:21-22) Christians are commissioned to follow the teachings of the Bible, but those teachings also speak clearly that we are all sinners and fall short of God’s law and it is only by God’s grace through His only Son, Jesus Christ, that any of us are acceptable in God’s sight. So you must know, Church is not for the perfect, it for those who realized they’re broken. In love, we are responsible to teach this news of sin and grace in its fullness. We are blessed with a sprawling 35-acre campus which includes both a Worship Center and Sanctuary, a Children’s Center (daily pre-school), a gymnasium, a newly constructed fellowship/discipleship space (the Event Center), a Student Ministry building for our youth (the Garage), multiple spaces for our award winning K-8 school, extended day care facilities, administrative offices, spacious athletic fields, expansive parking areas, and plenty of room to grow!

*St. John’s is a member of the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod which is a group of Lutheran Churches that holds fast to God's Word as inerrant truth. That truth is relevant and applicable to today’s life and for eternity. We confess the historic creeds and documents of The Book of Concord as an accurate, systematic, presentation of the truths proclaimed in God's Word.
