Therefore … win the race by hanging tight

Personality (vss 2-4)

The sinful path:

  1. I want to WIN
  2. I embrace being the VICTIM

 

The Christ-follower path

  1. Seek the common ground of - “in the Lord”
  • agree in the Lord
  • rejoice in the Lord (12 times in this letter)
  1. Welcome a Godly third party

 

Witness (vs 5)

 

Pressure leads to: (vss 6-7)

  1. Worry & Anxiousness
  2. Prayer and Praise

 

“anything” & “everything”

 

Perspective (vss 8-9)

  1. Realism (pessimism)
  2. Negativism (pessimism)
  3. Hope-filled, prayer-covered, Optimism
